3 Things You Can Do With Your Video Doorbell

Technology is advancing at a rapid rate. It allows you to do and accomplish so much. Just imagine if you did not have a cell phone. Pretty hard to think of right? One of the perks of technological advancement is the abilities new devices give you. The Skybell video doorbell is one such device that gives you a variety of utility you do not have with your standard doorbell. Below are 3 ways to use the doorbell (there are many uses as well).

Answer your door from anywhere

As long as you have cell signal, you will be able to answer the door with your Skybell. This means you can answer the door while on vacation, at work, and even when you simply do not wish to walk to the door.  When someone pushes the doorbell’s button, the doorbell will send your phone a notification saying that someone has pushed its button. You can even set it so the doorbell notifies you if someone is  moving in front of it. Once the button has been pushed, you can answer the door through the doorbell’s two-way audio.

Talk with two-way audio

The doorbell comes with two-way audio. This allows you to speak to any person that is at the door. Make sure to let go of the microphone once you are done speaking. If you keep the microphone pressed down, you cannot hear the person speaking to the doorbell. The doorbell’s microphone provides clear audio to the phone holder as well as the person at the door.

Save Clips

When the doorbell is rung, it starts to record a clip of the event taking place. Videos will be saved to your alarm.com app. You can review clips in the video section of your alarm.com account. Recorded clips can be quite beneficial in the long run. They can allow you to review interactions, see if a package was delivered, and even catch some shady characters if they appear.
We hope you enjoyed this brief read. If you have a Skybell, let us know what your favorite aspect of it is! Keep visiting our site for more information regarding home security and home automation.
